31 day challenge: Identity

I have found that I enjoy taking challenges. New to running? I ran my first marathon ten months later. Just learned to ride a bike? I rode a metric century bike ride by the end of the summer. I recently redid my blog and started writing again. So why not take a 31 day writing challenge?

Each October The Nester hosts a writing challenge called 31 Days. The premise is simple: write every day for 31 days on a single topic.

I quickly choose a topic that I am passionate about: Identity.

The truth is that each challenge is a journey full of ups and downs. It was exciting to sign up for a marathon. Crossing the finish line was an unbelievable moment in my life. Yet, all the moments in between were the journey.  It is during the journey that God teaches and speaks to us.

I’m just a girl who God has taken on a significant and life changing journey over the past ten or so years. He has taken me from a desperately insecure girl who struggled with an eating disorder and who believed so many lies about herself. By His grace, power, and love He has transformed me into a woman who experiences freedom, confidence, and wholeness. Throughout this journey, with it’s many highs and lows, He taught me many lessons about the issue of identity. How does my Abba Father see me? What does He declare over me in Scripture? How am I truly living out my identity in Christ?

I believe wholeheartedly that what we believe about ourselves affects our day to day life. I can’t wait to dive deeper into the truths of who I am in Christ. I am excited to invite you to be a part of this journey with you!
