The BEST banana bread recipe!
I love banana bread. My all time favorite banana bread recipe is my mom’s recipe. It’s moist, delicious, and the banana flavor is perfect. In my opinion it’s absolutely the best banana bread recipe. Thanks to pinterest, I have tried many different (healthier!) banana bread recipes. Most recipes have turned out great. However, nothing in my mind compares with the banana bread I have enjoyed since I was young.
I love baking. I have such happy memories baking with my mom when I was young. Cookies, pies, and of course banana bread. I love how baking warms up the kitchen. The house is suddenly filled with a delicious aroma. I don’t bake often but there are certain times of year that I enjoy baking. I feel the urge to bake when the crisp, cool weather comes in the fall or on a cold, snowy winter day.
I know some parts of the country are experiencing a wonderful season right now called Spring. According to the calendar, we have officially entered Spring. Sadly, here in Boston it feels like winter. There’s still snow on the ground from all our snowstorms and blizzards this winter. Yesterday was especially cold and windy. It put me in the mood to bake some warm banana bread.
My mom got this recipe from her good friend Debbie. I have the best childhood memories at Debbie’s home. Debbie would babysit my brothers and me in the summer. We had many adventures in the woods surrounding their log cabin, swimming in their pool, and eating Debbie’s yummy cookies and desserts. Maybe that’s one reason I love baking, there are such pleasant memories associated with baking. And there are still new memories to create.
I know there are a million different banana bread recipes out there. I may be just a little biased in my opinion that this is the best recipe. However, I did notice that the banana bread I put in the teacher’s lounge this morning quickly disappeared. And I overheard comments about how delicious the bread tasted. I will let you judge for yourself.
